Rev. Billy Davies
Rev Deacon William Davies was born and grew up in Benoni. He completed High School at Christian Brothers College Boksburg. Since shortly after leaving school his career has been in Leadership and Organisation Development, in which he consults internationally to some of South Africa’s leading organisations. After he matriculated he joined Life Line as a volunteer lay counselor. He later studied Trauma Counselling and Crisis Intervention through UNISA and uses these skills in his private practice, in his role as a Permanent Deacon, and in his corporate work where he assists clients to manage Burnout and executive stress.
He completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration. His research, entitled “Sharing the gold with the Rainbow” received a distinction and focused on the development of Small and Medium sized enterprise, as a means to create jobs and reduce poverty, through the building of linkage relationships with successful multinational businesses. He runs his own business and specialises in Strategic Planning, Conflict resolution, Facilitation of group process, Executive and Life Coaching and Spiritual Direction and trauma debriefing.
He was ordained a Permanent Deacon at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Johannesburg by Archbishop Buti Tlhagale OMI on 30 April 2011, and requested to be assigned to Holy Trinity Parish. He is married to Wendy who works with him in his business and provides a vital supportive role to enable him to carry out his work and fulfill his ministry. Wendy is also actively involved in life at Holy Trinity.
