RIP

Fr David Rowan SJ

15 July 1952 – 12 July 2021

The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) mourns the loss of Fr David Rowan SJ. After a battle with cancer he passed away peacefully this afternoon, Monday 12 July 2021, at Nazareth House in Johannesburg. Fr Rowan will be remembered for the stories he always began his homilies with. He was a friend to many and will be fondly remembered.

The Jesuit Community in Johannesburg is grateful to the Sisters and staff at Nazareth House for the care and love they showed Fr Rowan in the last few months. We are also grateful to the medical staff at the Donald Gordon Hospital for their care.

We commend Fr Rowan to the Lord, knowing that he is now at peace and has no more pain.
