Liturgical Apostolates
Alpha
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over twelve weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Usually around thirty minutes long and delivered over about eleven weeks, they can be given as a live talk or played as a video. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?
Our Alpha sessions are run on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-8pm and involves sharing a meal, listening to a a talk and engaging in good conversation.

Catechists
Our Catechists run classes every Sunday from 08h30-09h30 in between the two morning Sunday masses during School Terms for all children preparing themselves for the various Sacraments.
We prepare children for the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Classes are divided into age-groups according to their school grade: Beginners (Grade 1); Pre-Reconciliation (Grade 2); Reconciliation (Grade 3); First Holy Communion (Grade 4); Post-Communion 1-3 (Grades 5-7); and Confirmation 1-3 (Grades 8-10).
Classes start promptly at 08h30 Sundays during school terms. Habitually late learners will be marked absent, and could be held back and asked to repeat.

Children’s Liturgy
This important ministry is aimed at the younger members of our Parish (4-8 years) and is an important introduction to the stories of the Old and New Testament, the life of Jesus, the Mass, seasons of the Church year and Catholic values. Children’s Liturgy is not a Crèche for children while parents go to Mass, nor is it a Catechism class. It is an opportunity for children to hear and experience the gospel for the given Sunday Mass, in a format which is appropriate to their understanding.
Children’s Liturgy is run by a group of parents on a voluntary basis and was started in September 2014. From a humble group of 12 children we now sometimes have up to 40 on a Sunday morning. To manage this large group we need all parents whose children attend Children’s Liturgy to commit to assist us at least once a month. This can be either in the form of preparing and presenting the Children’s Liturgy, or to assist with crowd control (Fathers are particularly good at this!) In addition if your child is 5 years old or younger they MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Study” tab_id=”1506092329331-0-1″]
Come Home Bible Study
Holy Trinity runs a Bible Study for between 100-150 homeless persons every Monday evening from 17h00-18h00.
The Bible Study is facilitated by members of the parish but is largely driven by the sharing of the attendees who are able to offer insights into the Scripture that are informed by the recognition of God’s grace to them in their circumstances. In many cases, the volunteers from the Parish report a deepening of their faith from simply listening to the spiritual conversation that occurs there every week.
