First Holy Communion

We congratulate all the children, their catechism teachers, and parents as they celebrate their First Holy Communion this Sunday.

All Souls Day – 2025

We will commemorate All Souls Mass on Monday, 3 November, at 18h30. If you have lost a loved one or friend, come and remember them at this Mass. It will be celebrated traditionally, including chants from the Gregorian Missa pro Defunctis and the Pie Jesu from Faure’s Requiem.

November Pious Lists

During the month of November, Masses will be offered for our deceased family members and friends. Pious Lists are available on the tables at the entrances of the church. Kindly complete a list and place it in the envelope, together with your donation, and return it to the parish. These lists will be placed on the altar and remembered at all Masses throughout the month of November.

Book of Reflections for Advent

The Jesuit Institute will be launching a book Come Immanuel with daily reflections for the season of Advent on Tuesday, 11 November 2025 at 18h30 at the Institute: 15 Molesey Ave, Auckland Park. All are welcome! The launch price is R80. To confirm attendance email retreats@jesuitinstitute.org.za

Liturgical Ministers Meeting

Fr. Russell invites everyone involved in the liturgical ministries of the parish to a special meeting next Saturday, 08th November 2025 at 14h00. This includes Proclaimers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers, Ministers of Hospitality, Flower Arrangers and Sacristans. The meeting is also open to anyone who would like to join these ministries or who signed up during the Stewardship Drive. All are encouraged to attend as we come together to strengthen our service and commitment to the Parish.

Homeless Christmas Lunch

Join the PPC and SSVP in sharing the joy of Christmas at the parish annual Homeless Christmas Lunch on Tuesday 16 December 2025 (public holiday). We invite our Trinity family to participate by offering donations (financial or in kind) and hands-on support to make this event special. Donations of rice, samp, pasta, tinned goods, cooking oil and other condiments, soft drinks (cans and buddy bottles) and closer to the time, frozen chicken and red meat would be most welcome. Alpha Course

Have you previously taken part in the Alpha Course? The parish is in the process of forming an Alpha Team for our upcoming programme, and we are inviting former participants to consider serving in this ministry. Your experience and presence can make a meaningful contribution to others who are beginning their journey of faith. If you are interested in joining the team, please email alpha@trinityjhb.co.za to express your interest.

Anointing of the Sick

On Sunday, 9 November 2026, the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica, we will offer the anointing of the sick to all who are seriously ill at the 09h30 Mass.

Christ the King with the Nuncio

On the 23 November, the last Sunday of the Church’s liturgical year, the Solemnity of Christ the King, His Excellency, Archbishop Henry Jagodziński, the Apostolic Nuncio to South Africa (representative of Pope Leo XIV to Church and government of South Africa), will celebrate the 09h30 Mass.

Flowers in Memorial

If you would like to donate flowers in memory of a loved one to the parish for the altar, please contact the parish office. You can also make a financial contribution towards flowers in the wall-box at the door into the sacristy labelled “Flowers

Student Mass

The Last Mass for the year will be on Sunday the 30th of November.
