Parish Notices for the Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday will be on the 5th of March, and Ashes will be distributed during the three parish masses at 06h00, 13h15 & 18h00. The 18h00 Eucharist will be sung and celebrated in English and Latin.

Do something for Lent! Hearts on Fire

The parish will offer a Lenten programme with the assistance of the Jesuit Institute. It will be rooted in the Ignatian tradition but focus on many facets of prayer and spiritual growth. The program will run for five Sundays in Lent from 11h15-13h00. So often, people seek to do something enriching and meaningful for Lent. This is your opportunity. The course will also be offered at a greatly reduced rate, which includes all the sessions and a manual R250. We really encourage you to join this program; you will benefit! PPC Information Session & Nominations

There will be an information session for everyone who wants to know more about the PPC and its function. This will be after the 09h30 Mass at 11h00 this weekend in the Trinity House Hall. Please come and find out more! Next weekend, 9th March 2025, we will have nominations at all Masses for the new PPC. Forms will be given out so that you can nominate the people you think are most suitable for leadership in the parish. The election of office bearers will be on Sunday 16th March at 11h00. Please note that to be eligible for nomination, the person has to be a baptised, confirmed Catholic in good standing who shows a good example to others.

Farewell to Fr. Isaac Fernandes, SJ

This weekend, we say farewell to Fr. Isaac, who has been with us for the past five weeks. He returns to complete the tertianship program in KZN on Thursday, 6th March. We thank him for all he did during his short stay with us!

Bishop’s Lenten Appeal—Purple Envelopes

From Sunday, 9th  March until Sunday, 13th of April, there will be a second collection towards The Bishop’s Lenten Appeal. Purple Envelopes will be available in the pews.

Let us pray for the repose of the soul of Vanessa Louise Saker, who died suddenly and was buried at Trinity this past week. We pray for her loved ones and for the repose of her soul
