Advent

This weekend, we begin a new liturgical year, Year C. The liturgical year starts with Advent, a time of preparation for Christmas. Let us make the most of this season– see the Advent prayer in the bulletin.

 

World AIDS Day

1 December is World AIDS Day. Please inscribe those who have died from HIV/AIDS or those living with HIV/AIDS in the book at Our Lady’s Altar so we can pray for them.

 

Can you help with the soup kitchen?

St. Vincent de Paul needs volunteers to help with the soup kitchen on Monday evenings. If you can assist, please show up between 6pm and 7pm.

 

Christmas Market

The Kopanang Community Trust will hold a Christmas Market at Trinity this Sunday, 1 December, after the morning Masses. The market will sell embroidered, beaded, and sewn items such as homeware, bags, and Christmas decorations. Please support this initiative.

 

16h00 Student Mass

The last 4pm Mass for the year will be this Sunday, 1st December. It will resume on the 18 January 2025

 

Christmas Lunch for the Homeless

The parish’s Christmas lunch for the homeless will be next Saturday, 7th December 2024. Please come and support this work.

 

Stained Glass Windows Update

We have raised R350 000.00 so far for the windows. Thank you for your contributions. Please continue to help us collect money as we need to raise R2.5million to save the windows!

 

Garden of Remembrance

If you would like to purchase a plague to be installed in the Garden of Remembrance to remember your faithful departed, please contact the parish office to place an order. Each plague costs R1400.00

 

Trinity House Student Residence

The Pope’s Prayer Intention for December

We pray with Pope Francis that this Jubilee will strengthen us in our faith, help us recognise the Risen Christ in the midst of our lives, and transform us into pilgrims of Christian Hope.
