Parish Notices for the Second Week of Lent, Year B

The Pope’s Prayer Intention for February:

Let us pray that the sick who are in the final stages of life, and their families, receive the necessary medical and human care and accompaniment.

Stations of the cross

Will be every Friday at 18h00 throughout the Season of Lent from Friday 16th of February to Friday 22nd of  March.

Trinity Monthly Lectures

Trinity Monthly Lectures is an ongoing formation series of lectures which will be on the 4th Sunday of each month. This month’s lecture will be on the 25th February at 11am in the Trinity House Hall. This month’s topic is “Ministering to the terminally ill ”. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served after the lecture.

Children’s Liturgy

This will begin on Sunday 18th of Feb, this is for children between the ages of 3 and 7 years—NOT for children in nappies. The children will leave the Mass after the opening prayer and return during offertory

Lenten Reflection Day

The parish Lenten reflection day will be on Saturday 02nd of March at 09h00 till 13h00 in the Trinity House Hall

Bishops’ Lenten Appeal

From Sunday, 18th of February until Sunday, 24th of March, there will be a second collection towards The Bishop’s Lenten Appeal.  Purple Envelopes will be available in the pews.

Student Confirmation Class

University students  who wish to be confirmed may join the Confirmation Class which will start on the 03rd of March 2024 at 14h00. 

Student Chaplaincy Opening Mass

The opening mass for this academic year will be on the 03rd of March at 16h00. The Guest Speaker will be Prof. Zeblon Vilakazi , the Vice Chancellor & Principal of the University of the Witwatersrand.

Paschal Meal
