June Environmental Month
The Earth and all that is in it is a gift from God, who gives it’s stewardship to all peoples and nations and also the responsibility to care for it and use it for the good of all. Looking at the present state of the earth’s natural environment, it is impossible to ignore that we have not been good stewards of God’s Earth. Throughout this month of June parishioners of Holy Trinity are invited by the HT Caritas Environmental Group to reflect on WATER as one of the environmental elements placed in our care.
Water is a Gift of God – ‘Living our vocation to be protectors of God’s handiwork is essential to a life of virtue; it is not an optional or secondary aspect of our Christian experience’ (Pope Francis Laudato Si’ – On Care for our Common Home)
