Sundays@11: Robert Mickens
The Jesuit Institute South Africa & Radio Veritas collaborated to bring internationally-renowned Catholic Journalist, Robert Mickens, Vatican correspondent, editor of La Croix International, founding editor of Global Pulse Magazine and writer of the weekly Letter from Rome, to present:
“Shout it from the rooftops: The Catholic Church’s new voice under Pope Francis”
We were pleased to welcome about seventy guests, friends and parishioners to Holy Trinity to listen to Robert Mickens on our monthly Sundays@11 talk. Before he began, in his opening remarks, Robert Mickens mentioned the Holy Father’s recent call for a renewal of the Sacred Music tradition and complimented our Director of Music, Mr Cameron Upchurch, and Holy Trinity’s Schola Cantorum on their beautiful singing and the very high standard of liturgy he had seen at our 09h30 Sunday Mass. He noted that if Pope Francis could have witnessed what he had seen at Holy Trinity, he would be very happy with what the Jesuits and the Parish Staff are doing here.
You can listen to his full talk here:
